Scott Columb racing with Josh Coppins Racing Team – JCR – at Summercross in 2013. The film was a two-part initiative undertaken by MXLink to showcase the rider’s racing NZ MX Championship 2013/2014 season with specific focus on JCR and The Honda Shop Racing Team at Summercross in December 2013.
With the launch of JCR prior to ‘013 season start – confirming Scott Colomb MX2, Billy McKenzie MX1, and Logan Blackburn 125cc – along with The Honda Shop’s line-up of Cody Cooper and John Phillips under Ben Townley – capturing and sharing action on track and track-side was completed in written and visual form.
The opportunity to secure Lachan Russell from Australia, to film and edit the visuals was a major coup, with the financial endorsement from JCR and The Honda Shop Racing. Lachan flew into Auckland, and we travelled to Whakatane, filmed action over the 2 days of racing, then the Aussie film extra-ordinaire enjoyed a couple of days hospitality with the Townley’s before heading back home.
