NZ’s Josiah Natzke (KTM Factory Junior Team) has achieved stunning results in the European MX Championship Series going: 5th, 10th, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd and 4th Overall from 7 of 8 Rounds with the Final Round on August 29th, 30th at Assen, Netherlands.
From arriving in Europe in April off the back of disciplined preparation and build-up plan competing in NZ MX Nationals 2015, Josiah has taken on board the ever increasing challenges of competing against Europe’s best up-coming MX riders on circuits most Pro riders find challenging.
Heading into MX Euro EMX 125cc Final Round in 2 weeks, Josiah is not only keen to wrap up the Championship top of the podium but also to stamp his mark as a rider who is in to win.
I caught up with Josiah asking his thoughts on how the whole experience of competing in EMX 125cc has been heading into the Final Round.
Josiah: ‘I’ve just tried to take it race by race and tried to learn from what has happened and get better every weekend. I knew I could do this and be where I am now. I’d like not to have a one point difference- I’d like to have some cushion going into the last Round but I don’t and it’s going to be all on’.
‘It’s been unreal so far. I’ve achieved my expectations although I would have liked to have won more. I’m the only rider through-out the season of the European Championship to go 1-1 which was awesome for me’.
‘So I’ve won races and now I’m one point off the Championship. That was my goal. It’s been a very good season for me so far’.
