Chris Amon is NZ’s only Formula One driver to race with Ferrari in 1967 – 1969. Within this period, Chris achieved remarkable 3rd placed podiums in Formula One Monaco GP, Belgian GP, British GP, and the German GP finishing his debut season 5th overall in the Championship. Chris and Lorenzo Bandini won 24 Hours of Daytona and Monza 1000kms in 1967, with Amon setting a new track record at Ferrari’s Fiorana test track. Chris completed his tenure with Italy’s iconic Brand and Manufacturer, winning the Tasmin Series in 1969.
