2019 Women Motocross World Championships has been reduced to 5 Round Series.
With the recent announcemnet of MXGP/MX2 Opening Round in Pategonia, Argentina, WMX Opening Round will now be at sand-based track, Valkenswaard, Netherlands.
Squeezing the Women to race only 5 Rounds, compared to previous years 6 Round WMX Series, means stretching gaps further between racing.
Dates: WMX Round 1: March 31st Valkenswaard- 7 weeks gap Round 2: May 19th Agueda, Portugal- 10 weeks gap Round 3: July 28th Loket, Czech- 6 weeks gap Round 4: September 8th Afyonkarahisar, Turkey- 2 weeks gap Round 5: Final September 22nd Imola, Italy.
Nothing spare hard going to maintain everything: fitness, momentum, motivation, return of investment for sponsors, where to race in between GP’s, and drive to achieve top step of podium.
That’s a test in itself, apart from actual racing.
