Stefan Everts winning 10 World Motocross Championship Titles remains a historical record to date- some 12 years after s72 announced his retirement from Motocross racing. A feat in itself.

What is most significant is the translation of winning World Motocross Championships to mentoring riders to win MX Championship Titles.

Note the facts: Everts has mentored no less than 5 World MX Champions under his role as Team Manager/Mentor within KTM:

2008 Tyla Rattray MX2

2009, 2010 Marvin Musquin MX2

2011 Ken Roczen MX2

2013, 2012 Jeffrey Hurlings MX2

Speed up to 2015 Everts steered Jorge Prado to win EMX125cc and Pauls Jonas MX2 2nd Overall. Jonas went on to win 2017 MX2 MX Champion.  In 2017 Stefan guided  Jeremy Seewer’s MX2 2nd and Hunter Lawrence debut MX2 ride whose dreams were realised under the tutelge of 10x World MX Champion Everts.

For the record, transitions from World Champions in any sport to winning Championship Titles through mentoring/coaching/training Athletes is not a given or automatic. The transfer of knowledge, experience gained racing over a career, dealing with challenges, injuries, highs and lows of racing in the most intensive and physically demanding of sports requires a certain type of character.

One who relates to the Athlete/rider in a professional and personal way to elevate the Athlete/rider to perform at their best no matter what the circumstances.

A rare characteristic indeed. To be admired, appreciated and given the respect s72 has earned.
