Eli Tomac, Hunter Lawrence, and Ken Roczen display sublime racing at AMA SX Round 2 in San Diego – take outs. From Red Bull KTM rider – Eli Tomac winning back-to-back Rounds at Anaheim 1 and Round 2 at San Diego, to Team Honda HRC Progressive rider – Hunter Lawrence celebrating his best result of P2 in 450SMX World Championship, to Progressive Insurance Ecstar Suzuki – Ken Roczen delivering P3 in the main – racing was the best fans and follower’s could wish for.

#1 Eli Tomac produced a masterclass performance on how to deliver winning results after switching Teams and bike manufacturer’s for the fourth time in 15 years of racing AMA SX and MX Championships.

#2 Hunter Lawrence got the jump he wanted at gate-drop and the hole-shot, led the opening lap, made the pass stick on Roczen, and closed in on Tomac on the last lap to achieve his best ever AMA SX result finishing P2 on the podium.

#3 Ken Roczen confirmed winning Heat Race 2 and taking the hole-shot translated into ultra fast start in the main, to be challenged by Lawrence and Tomac in the early laps, completing the 20 minute plus 1 race in P3 overall.

#4 With no Practice, straight into Qualifying, Heat Races, then Main on Saturday – rider’s have no margin of error come racing.

#5 Track layout enabled rider’s to showcase their race-craft from up front, to mid-field testing their ability to balance speed, technical ability, and mental tenacity through-out the duration of the main race.

#6 Crowds packed Snapdragon stadium to enjoy watching rider’s compete at the ultimate level of AMA SX Championship – with all anticipation on who would deliver the best performance of the night.

#7 There is no doubt, racing 20 minutes plus one lap in AMA Supercross is a feat in itself, let alone winning and finishing in the top 3.
