Key take-outs #1 Capping a mile-stone in Chase Sexton’s decade long Pro-racing career, the 2023 450SX Champion proved switching Teams and manufacturer’s offers an opportunity to rise to the challenge of producing winning results as confirmed with his stellar win at A2.
#2 Like the rise of the phoenix, Hunter Lawrence’s dogged determination to stay in the hunt for the win proved his most formidable trait not only as a rider but as a person – the guy just does not relent when chasing goals.
#3 Finishing 1-1 in Rounds 1 and 2, followed by third at Round 3 felt bitter sweet for Eli Tomac who stated in the post race scrum interviews that he was frustrated at not taking the triple which let Lawrence take the pass.

#4 The packed Angel stadium of fans, follower’s and all looking forward to a day-to-night of exciting racing were not disappointed. The stream-lined programme of Qualifying sessions starting at 9.30am through to Heat Races at 4.00pm, to the opening ceremony with all lights, camera, action, and fireworks kept all entertained along with commentary and interviews by presenters. The crowd were not simply watching the build up to the 250 Main and 450 Main, track action was engaging, with special note to LCQ races followed by interviews with the winner’s.
#5 The crescendo of the day-to-night schedule was the 250 and 450 Mains. Racing was exciting to watch Live – because you didn’t know what was going to happen. From the National anthem, to gate-drop, to the final chequered, all were treated to spectacular race action from rider’s whose passion to race and produce the highest possible results commands utmost respect from all.
