Dylan Walsh heads into Final Round of 2019 Maxxis ACU British MX Championship with 18 point lead over fellow Revo Husqvarna UK Team rider Alvin Ostland, racing at Landrake Moto Parc in Cornwall this weekend.
Having won the last 5 races: Round 5 at Desert Martin Race 2, Round 6 at Hawkstone double wins, and Round 7 at Foxhill double wins again, Walsh has really set himself up for taking the coveted British MX2 Championship Title for 2019.
It was back in 2004 when NZ’s Josh Coppins set historical record winning the British MX Open class Championship and then repeated stand-out performance in 2005 winning MX1 British MX Championship Title notching 10 successive wins in the 8 Round Series.
Far from racing to plan, Josh actually stood track-side at 2005 British MX Opening Round due to injury, only to come out firing taking double wins at Round 2 which gave the Kiwi 12 wins from 14 starts banking the MX1 Title.
As reported by Motorcycle News, 2005: ‘The Honda rider and winner of the 2004 British Grand Prix has been recovering from a dislocated shoulder that forced him to miss the season curtain-raiser and now the New Zealander is ready to re-enter the class that he dominated last term’.
Currently in prep-mode for this weekend in UK, followed by Team NZ MX2 rider at MXoN September 29th, Dylan could very well take credit for all hard work, training, racing all out 2019 GP season along with Maxxis British MX Championship Series in coming days.
#53 has eye on goals, ability to fulfill short-and-long term plans and determination to bring results home.
