A stacked line-up of kiwi rider’s and driver’s racing this weekend world-wide. This elite group hold their own against global competition racing varying disciplines in Formula One, Moto3, World WCR, AMA Supercross, GNCC WXC, and Australia’s Pro MX in the Arabian Gulf, Europe, America, and Australia.
Starting with Red Bull Honda driver – Liam Lawson – competing in F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, Round 4 of 24 for the season. Having scored a race seat with Red Bull’s premier Race Team for the opening 2 Rounds in Australia and China ‘025, Lawson was switched to race with the sister Team – who he raced with in the last 6 races in 2024. Scoring P9 in his first F1 race at the United States Grand Prix, followed by another P9 at F1 Grand Prix in Brazil last year, Lawson has all the makings to bring back his mojo ahead of racing this weekend.

Denssi Racing-BOE Motorsports rider – Cormac Buchanan – has made an impressive start to his rookie Moto3 season, taking P10 at Round 3, Grand Prix of America’s on March 28 – 30, 2025. The 18 year old has geared his career from racing in NZ to competing in Europe for the past four seasons, nailing the all important race ride in Moto3, proving a strong, focused mind-set can open doors of opportunity in the hard-nose sport of MotoGP.
NZ’s only female rider to win NZSBK Supersport 600 Championship in 2019 – Avalon Lewis – competes with fellow rider – Billee Fuller – in Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship opening round at Assen TT circuit this weekend. Having already established an illustrious racing career – winning the European Junior Cup in 2015 and 2016 – Avalon tested her passion to race against World WCR rider’s at Round 3 at Cremona last season, taking P8 overall. Both women will race World WCR’s second season of 6 Rounds from April through to the final Round at Jerez on October 17 – 19.

The sheer magnitude of results for Yamaha Star Racing rider – Cole Davies – in his rookie season racing AMA Supercross West 250 Championship, is nothing short of amazing. Taking his first ever race win at Seattle on March 29, Davies carved his name in NZ SX history books, after Ben Townley’s AMA SX East Lites Championship win in 2007. Heading into the penultimate 250 E/W showdown in Philadelphia this weekend, – with only 2 Rounds remaining – Cole will be amped – as he currently stands P3 overall – 6 points from P2.
GNCC WXC defending Champion – Rachael Archer – has proved a force to be reckoned with competing in America’s premier Grand National Cross Country Championship and winning the WXC Title in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Racing for Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki for a second season, Racheal spearheads the charge on the points table, taking P1, P4, P1, and P2 over the first four Rounds. Heading into Round 5 of 13 this weekend, Rachael will be super determined to hold her points lead over her competitors.

Honda Racing Australia rider – Brodie Connolly – has already sent a clear message on goals to be realized racing his second season in Pro MX2 Championship, taking double moto wins at the opening round at Wonthaggi on March 22 – 23. Known for his love of racing, Brodie has faced and overcome plenty of challenges to rise in the ranks competing in Australia’s and NZ’s MX/SX Championships, including finishing P3 overall in Australian SX2 Championship in 2024. Heading into Round 2 of 8 at Appin this weekend, Brodie will have eyes fixed on consolidating his #1 standings in MX2.
