NZ’s Josiah Natzke gained 3rd podium at Maxxis British MX Championship Round 3 at Canada Heights in the weekend gaining much needed confidence heading into MXGP EMX250cc Round 3 at Latvia this coming weekend.
Natzke now in his 3rd season racing European Motocross Championships has felt the highs and lows of competing against the worlds best gaining 2015 Overall 2nd EMX 125cc class pipped at the Final Round by Team-mate Jorge Prodo under the KTM Junior Development Team.
Racing EMX250 in 2016, Natzke experienced the full extent of stepping up a class with entry lists of 60 rider’s vying for pointy end of results, to rider’s not limited by dropping back from MX2 to gain better results in EMX250cc.
Racing under British Team Hitachi KTM UK 2017 with class team-rider Ben Watson, Natzke will be looking foward to nail top 10 results at MX Euro 250 Round 3 at Latvia this coming weekend, moving forward from an improved result of 16th at EMX250cc Race 2, Round 2 at Valkenswaard 2 weeks ago.

‘I am happy with today as my starts were good and it always helps when you get good starts. I had a good first moto but tightened up a little bit halfway through but it all came back to me for the latter part of the race for third. In the second I was leading till I got really bad arm pump and faded back to fourth place. But it’s great to get my first podium so I have to be happy”
MXGP Latvia– May 6th-7th EMX 250cc Free and Timed Practice from 7.30pm Saturday 6th NZ time, Race 1: 4.00am Sunday 7th, Race 2: 9.00pm Sunday 7th NZ time.
