2021 Women Motocross World Championship: Profile Nancy Van de Ven has achieved top 5 results competing in past 9 consecutive WMX Championships, with best finishes of 2nd Overall in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. In closest of racing in Final Round at Trentino in 202o, Nancy put everything on the line to finish tied in points with leader Courtney Duncan with Title decided on count-back.

Currently standing 3rd Overall in 2021 WMX Championship, the Dutch rider has clocked up impressive performances posting 4th in Round 1 at Loket, 4th in Round 2 at Lommel, 3rd in Round 3 at Turkey and 4th Round 4 in double header at Turkey on September 8th.

The positive mind-set Nancy projects on track stems from enduring the highs and lows of competing at World MX Championship level. For sure, early Round wins in 2015 at Czech Republic and 2016 in Round 2 at Valkenswaard followed by victory at Round 4 in France proved boost to self-belief that #85 has what it takes to stand top of podium.

Even more awe-inspiring to those watching track-side was Nancy demolishing the competitive WMX field at Assen in 2017 finishing 1-1 and again in 2018 in Round 4 at Ottobiano inching out home-idol and 6x WMX Champion Kiara Fontanesi to win on count-back going 3-1 to Kaira’s 1-3.

Exciting stuff for sure! Which is all the more reason Nancy has all that it takes to out-race 2021 WMX field from gate-drop to final chequered. Key for Nancy are her starts, hole-shot and creating early gap on field. Must do factors are: stay calm, shrug off outside pressure, and race her own race as she actions in training. Let’s see if Van de Ven can claim deserved victory in 2021 WMX Championship in final 2 Rounds: Round 5 in Spain October 17 and Round 6 in Trentino on October 24.
